Happenings in April 2014

Before I knew it, time passes so fast that I was left behind and have
no time whatever to update my blog and also hardly find time to design
new items for my so called bazaars all over Singapore:)
Since January at Ghim Moh Chinese New Year bazaar, above picture
shows a more recent event at Ghim Moh Weekend market in April:)

Some of my more recent items sold at Chong Pang last weekend.
To make my handmade items more attractive, I framed them up
for display:)

I wire-wrapped the coral teardrop to make the earrings
look more artistic though some buyers like simple pearl
drops:)

Humongous rings for the more adventurous.  I love the
golden & silver strawberries bling and there are only
one of each:)

Thank you for visiting my blog and I will try to update my blog as
soon as I have news worth mentioning:)  In the meantime,  have a nice
weekend and Happy Easter:)

Ghim Moh CNY bazaar 2014

First time we went to sell at Ghim Moh during Chinese New Year Bazaar. The market
here is both vibrant and exciting with lots of new as well as preloved items. After the lunar
new year celebrations, the fleamarket at GM will be held on every 2nd weekend of the
month:)  I will definitely join them again on 9th of March 2014:)  I like to thank all of
you at Ghim Moh who bought my handmade items & gifts:)  I hope to make more
interesting products for my March sale!

This is my table last Sunday at Ghim Moh and it is also the last day
of the Chinese New Year bazaar")

These heart pendants will be good gifts for the coming Valentine Day on
14th February which also falls on the 15th day of the lunar new year :)  It
is an important day for the Chinese and so there will be double celebration
this year!

Renri @ Ghim Moh CNY Bazaar

Today is the 7th day of Chinese New Year and it is also known as human's
birthday and a good time to get together and merry making etc  Many Chinese
celebrate today by lo hei n feasting with families n friends.  I spent my morning
today at Ghim Moh market attending to morning crowd & again the afternoon
lunch crowd before hitting home.  A happy day indeed and many customers were in
the mood to buy gifts for family n friends, especially my handmade items which are
both unique and not mass produced:)

My handmade corner at Ghim Moh CNY bazaar today!  I will be back to this place at Lot
13 on Sunday.  Meanwhile, I am going to Redhill Blk 84 tomorrow and followed
by Tampines Round Market on Saturday:)   I like to thank all my customers at Ghim
Moh who patronized my booth today and I wish all of you a happy and memorable
Renri and all the best for 2014, the year of the Horse:)

December has arrived:)

Is my favourite month of the year cos I can see many delightful
decorations and hear Christmas songs played in the air:)
I am also busy churning out handmade Christmas gifts and above
are my fav pinky series tissue holders!
They are made of good materials such as 100% cotton from Japan
and linen. They keep your tissues handy and neat and the pouches
can be washed and reused over n over again:)

I look forward to Christmas and hope that all of you are ready with
gifts for your special ones:)  Once again, thanks to those who buy
and support handmades.

Post Mortem 30th November 2013

I guess before November exits, I must deem it the month which I sew
the most tissue holders:) Both young & old love my handmade pouches
and the tissue holders are also ideal for Christmas gifts:)  Just buy
a few pieces and distribute them to your relatives or friends instead of
buying chocolates which are always left uneaten in the fridge!

A basket full of my handmade pouches which I brought to Teck Ghee
market today and managed to sell all except one which was stained
by my fabric pen:)  I wonder if I sell them too cheap since most customers
would buy one or two without hesitation:)  Anyhow, I am glad they like
my products and am grateful for their support!

Every piece is my labor of love and carefully sewn and hope they
land in good hands:)

The materials I used are good quality 100% cotton, made in Japan
and the pouches can be washed and reused again:)   It is important
to have your tissues handy and also kept clean in the pouches to
prevent them getting messy and dirty in your bag:)

My girl requested for this piece which I called "marching on" n
it contains two packets of  tissue:)  Hope she brings to school
everyday!

Slicing strawberries for my girl who decides to make some jelly
cheese tarts for desserts:)

I am good at sewing but not cutting strawberries:)  They ended up
with funny heart shapes and my girl commented some look rather
ugly.  Anyway, the end result is not too bad, the tarts tasted well;
quite delicious, not too sweet and a little sour.  I shall not learn
how to make these from her cos I am not into baking etc  Rather
spend more time on my sewing machine:)

Thanks for visiting my blog and hope to see some of you again during
my road shows all over Singapore!

I am into sewing mood for the month of November 2013:)
I have done many tissue holders with a pocket as well as
some drawstring pouches.  They are handy and make good
gifts for birthdays as well as for Christmas!  If you wish
to learn how to sew, drop me a line via my email below:)
