Sewing Is Never Boring

Categories:

A Pouch for my daughter to put her charger n cable:)
Hello Kitty fabric was bought donkey years ago when Yaohan
was still located at Plaza Singapore:)  I used to frequent their
handicraft department and loved buying wools, fabrics, diy kits
etc.  A pity Yaohan shifted out of Singapore!

New version of cute prints bought last year.  This material is
thicker and can stand on its own:) I have yet to find a owner
for this pouch:)  Maybe I will send it to Perth for my daughter
as well:)

I like this pouch the most as in I like the fabric the most;)
My instructor alerted me to this print while I was shopping
for haberdashery recently.  She told me this print is going out
of stocks soon! I grabbed two pieces of fat quarters:)

Teaching my youngest girl to sew a simple pouch ended with me making
a dozen or so! Tissue holders are simply too easy to make and I ended
making more than I need and guess I may try selling some in the near future:)
The sewing genes must be in me!  I have learned how to use a sewing machine
when I was about twelve and remembered my mum buying a second hand
sewing machine;  I was thrilled beyond words and has since sewn my own
clothes before I turned thirteen:)  I took up sewing classes only when I was
sixteen during my school holidays.  Then again classes was resumed when I reached
eighteen cos my standard was not good enough.  My interest in sewing did not
wane when I reached my twenties and working.  I went for private lessons
and got me a teacher who taught me personally:)   I am glad today I am able
to teach my girls sewing and hope they will find it useful:)
