Welcome 2017 and year of the Rooster

Upon customer's request, I had to post something here to prove that I am still doing what I like and my business is still status quo:)  Life has been really busy for the year 2016 n I stopped blogging for awhile since I am always repeating the same issues :) For the past few years, I have been doing road shows and bazaars as well as company and hospitals staff consumer sales!  Time is always a constraint when handmade accessories are concerned.  I have to think of designs, types of materials to buy, suitable places to sell and last but not least, networking with customers and students who are keen to pick up skills in jewelry making:)  My jewelry are mostly made of materials such as stainless steel, copper , brass n bronze and this reduce allergy problems which may cause by chromium oxide which is commonly found in mass produced jewelry.

Reflections of 2016 :  I should say one busy year just passed by too soon and I have been travelling
alot as well as working hard to catch up with the fashion trade:)  I have just completed my Christmas bazaars and roadshows and soon enough, Chinese New Year is round the corner!  Though is good to be productive and stay up todate, sometimes exhaustion do slow me down:(  Hopefully, the year of the Rooster will be another interesting year for me n you folks and thank you for the support given to me all these years:) Lots of gratitude from within my heart n when customers visit us again, we are really inspired n motivated to do better.

June the hottest month

Teaching in progress in Jurong West.  June is indeed a
hot month in Singapore since we are situated in the Equator.
However the weather did not deter us from learning ways to
create jewellery.  I am coaching new student in the coffee shop
and she is lost in the world of jewellery making.  A fast learner,
she is able to make a few wire wrapped rings as well as some
ear rings:)

Some of the items made so far:)

Even after a decade, I am still excited teaching wire wrapped
rings:)   They are so beautiful and customers can wear them
right away:)  As a thoughtful gift, handmade jewellery brings
happiness to the receiver:)

There are endless ways to play with natural stones, you can wire
wrapped them into rings, make ear rings or bracelets or customized
accordingly to customers' needs.  I hope my handmade jewellery
will bring satisfaction as well as great pleasure to the wearers:)

Thanks to all my supporters and customers for visiting my blog n wish
all fathers a very Happy Father's Day today!

April & May 2015

We have gone to many new locations in April:)  Recently we tried new areas
like Lorong Ah Soo, Holland Drive and Bedok Central:)
The weather is really hot and the motivation to write is also not too
forthcoming.   However I had to pen a few words to show customers that I am
still in the trade and would be glad to come up with new designs when I have
the time and especially hoping the hot weather will cool down soon:)

Mostly recently, I am into natural stones and I have made alot of
bracelets using all kinds of stones with healing power.  My favourite is carnelian
which you can see in the photo above, brown-orange in colour which is supposed
to give energy to wearer:)   Rose quartz is also among the favourite with ladies as
they are the stones of love and harmony.  Handmade pearl necklaces, bracelets, rings
and earrings are also hot items as they are never out of fashion and look good on
any wearers.  Those who have bought my pearl jewellery knew that they are both
long lasting and of good quality not to mention the affordable prices that I give :)

Tribal inspired look jewellery are currently on my sale list.  Some of  those
displayed as per the photo above are popular with young and old.  They are
cool as well as trendy and not heavy at all compared to metal jewellery.  I
take this chance to thank all my customers and potential customers for liking
my handmade products and hope your support will encourage me to continue
my hobby and love for handmade products:)

On the 3rd Day of Christmas 27th December 2014

We are counting down to New Year in a week's time:)
As usual 2014 is fast flying and now it is almost gone!
I have a very productive year albeit slowdown from August
due to family committment! Every year end, I will always
lament that time is not enough etc etc but now instead of
doing that, I will just forge ahead and make good use of
my time.  I have come to the conclusion that when we are
young and have lots of time on hand, we find time moving
rather slowly but now cos we have a family to look after
and a business to handle, hence time pass faster and I am
always lacking of sleep:)

My new year resolution would be to slow down and take
things easy and read more books and smell more flowers:)
I have stopped going to libraries and visiting book stores and
will make it a point to do it more often!

Dear folks, I wish all of you a very Merry Christmas and
a good year ahead!  My sincere thanks for those of you who
boughts my crafts and handmade jewellery:)
Thanks for visiting my blog:)

Tis The Season To Be Jolly

Time of the year again when people shop n buy gifts for their loved ones:)
Love Christmas best of all festive seasons cos everywhere we go, there are
lots of beautiful decorations and nice christmas songs.  We never go tired
of listening to them though we outgrow them ... jingle bells jingle bells etc

2014 has been a rather busy as well as traumatic year for me cos in mid August,
there was a family crisis and luckily everything was resolved soon after, thank God:)
I am back to designing and making nice jewelry items for gifts and I am just happy
doing what I love.  Meeting new customers and lovers of handmade stuffs make
my day.  I am always encouraging people to pick up a hobby which is good for
the minds and therapeutic as well.   It is always gratifying to see those cystals, beads n
pearls being transformed into something beautiful and you feel great wearing your
own creations! The happiness of seeing others wearing your creations is also priceless!

I am looking forward to doing staff bazaars for schools, hospitals and statutory boards
and hope my regulars and supporters of handmade items continue to give me a chance
to create for them beautiful pieces that are both attractive and value for money:)

Till then, Merry Christmas to all and best endeavours for the coming New Year 2015

Handmade For October 2014

Due to some personal hiccups, I have not updated my blog rather
frequently:(  Time is not on my side as I set about trying to right matters
on hand and at the same time attempting to do a bona fide buisness:)

I hate to use this excuse but it seems that year end is again approaching
and I will be busy trying to come up with new designs for Christmas &
Chinese New Year and again, will neglect my blog:)  I can see many
of you are interested in learning the art of jewellery making from me &
hope you can be patient and I will find the time to coach you when the
time is right.

Above photos are some of my recent items, made with cezh
glass beads, natural stones and freshwater pearls.  Currently, I like to keep
designs simple so that you can wear them to work everyday!  I wish time
is on my side as  I have so many things on my mind but hardly had enough
time to complete them:(  Before 2015 hits, I pray I will be able to finish my
whole list of agenda and then plan for a whole new year again....

Busy June & July 2014

Before I knew it, June has slipped by and July is almost ending soon:(
I have been away in June with my family and July is such a busy month.
No ends to selling my handmade items in schools, markets and bazaars!
Doing handmade is indeed a slow process and sometimes, when the
atmosphere is right, I can do non stop and at times, the weather is
really too hot to do anything nice at all:)

Currently, I am back into making cluster rings as reflected in the photos
above and two of them sold to a nice lady at Redhill:)  I hope to create
more and nicer designs soon.

Thanks for visiting my blog and also many apologies for being so slow in
updating my blog recently.  I hope to have more news for August and till
then, take care folks:)
