Hubby who helps me the whole evening;)  I am going to stay

from Compass Point tomorrow.  Jason will be my last student before I
move over to Heartland Mall wef 1st to 11th sept 2011. It has been a
very productive and memorable time for me at this shopping mall where
I met many friendly customers and made many new friends indeed!  I would
like to thank them for all their support and also for buying me food n drinks!
I hope to see my good friends and customers again in the near future n hope
to be back again soon to Compass Point if my time permits;)

Lots n lots of cluster rings as per display, all sold last year during X'mas.
I will be making them again this coming Christmas, all in green, white n red!

liked by many people from all walks of life, be they Indians, Chinese,
Angmohs or Malays.  It is an interesting stones since historical times!
Another jewelry making session ended with Michelle, a patient &
passionate learner who makes for herself n 2 daughters! Keep it up

Some snapshots of my current students; taught Kanchan yesterday &
Mikki today.  The latter happens to be my ex-colleague who spotted
me at Compass Point and decided to pick up the skills from me;)  We
all enjoyed jewelry making and hope our friendship continue to grow
from here. Today, Mr Jason Ong came and sign up for a crash course
next Tuesday, finally I am teaching a guy again after a lapse of few years!

My last nine days in Compass Point amid all the mooncakes
sold by the confectionery shops here;)  The Mid-Autumn Mooncake
Festival is back again!  Last year I remembered, I received my 1st box
from a student at Hougang Mall.  I had just moved out from my shop
in Turf City and rented an event space on the 3rd floor for a month in Sept.

I was wondering what am I going to do without a shop space but since
then, I have been rather busy with all the mobile bazaars and one year just
slipped by again;)  I guess I must plan and organize my time more effectively
so that I can spend more time with my family as well, the reason why I resigned
from my job 6 years ago cos I was becoming a workaholic!  I must constantly
remind myself not to let history repeat itself.  Hence, I am going to take a
2 weeks break in September after I am done with Heartland Mall from 1st to
11th Sept;)

Latest student Junie, hard at work learning to fix a cluster ring;)  Still
schooling, she bought something from my pushcart and decided to pick
up jewelry making, a quick decision indeed and a wise one no doubt;)

It pays not to be selfish;)  I have taught my eldest brother's wife as well
as my sis-in-law from my hubby's side the art of jewelry making and
they are around to assist me when I am down with flu!  Both my sister-in-laws
helped me to teach and also look after my pushcart so that I can rest at home!
My hobby has not only allow me to bond with my friends and relatives but also
allow me to earn an income after I left my job about 6 years ago.

Yesterday, a guy approached me on jewelry making. He was at my pushcart
with his wife the night before and bought 3 pairs of earrings from me;)  His wife
has gone overseas for a month and he told me they like my style of accessories.
He wanted to learn from me!  Ahem, I have not taught a guy for a long time, the
last I did was at my shop many years back, one guy wanted to make a crystal
heart for his girlfriend and another guy was a staff from Bread Talk who wanted
to make and sell jewelry.

Maybe I should plan and start a training school so that I can teach a group of students.
Wonder what would be the capital outlay if my plan materialize!  I could then teach
in schools and statutory boards as well as in companies and at private functions!
Sound like a good idea rather then selling at pushcarts and bazaars and paying  such
high rentals.  I must start to look out for good partners from now and also plan ahead,
a shift of paradigm from selling to teaching in the long run.  Please give your views or
advice upon reading this and I would really appreciate it and thank you for visiting my blog!

I am delighted that I enjoyed teaching jewelry making as much
as those who learned from me:)  It is always wonderful to see
the happiness on their faces when they created something new
and beautiful! A hobby as such not only bring people together
but also enhance one's skills.  Once mastered the art of jewelry
making, there is never an end on what one can make for themselves
or for their friends & loved ones.  I am glad that many have benefited
from my teachings and hope they will in turn teach whoever is keen.
Last but not least, I will continue to teach jewelry making wherever
I may go and hopefully, my students will reach from hundreds to
thousands in the long run!

Shiva Eyes are known as a protective and lucky stone.
The spiral on the ring symbolizes development & motion
and is a strong & important symbol for protection against
bad energies & has a positive effect on your well being :)
Today, the three of us experienced the goodness of the
Shiva  Eyes:)  The effect are almost immediate and the

July has just slipped by without a trace and much has happened
at my pushcart in Compass Point.  I have met some old friends as
well as made many new friends.  I am very fortunate many customers
like my handmade accessories and my wire wrapped rings are still
popular after one month :)  I will make good use of August before
my final exit from this exciting place! I will also have lots of memorable
photos to reflect on what I have done and also remember the smiles
of all the friends I have met here!
